After a smart telly ad campaign featuring a witty cartoon of Arthur Bell, this leading brand came to Pulse Group. Way back then, Bell’s was popular with seniors but younger whisky drinkers were not as well targeted. Fast forward a few years, and the site now has a much more contemporary look that works on tablet, desktop and mobile.
Initially my involvement on the site was to manage the site take over, rebuild the registration sign-up form (from .NET to LAMP servers) and to meet advanced XML data posts and secure call-backs requirements, test, debug and deploy. Over the years Pulse was able to roll out innovations that included implementation of new looks and on the most recent refresh (on a very tight budget) I lead the internal teams to get that done, guiding designers of new methods to stretch imagery across the page, embedding fonts, carousel and many more front-end “bells and whistles”.
